Calvary Chapel Apple Valley has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our utmost desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is to reach people with the Gospel message in order to bring them to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is empowered to live a Godly life.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
We believe in the invisible church, the living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.
We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom; in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ's agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
We believe worship of God should be spiritual; therefore, we remain flexible and yielding to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.
We believe worship of God should be inspirational; therefore, we give a great place to music in our service.
We believe worship of God should be intelligent; therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon teaching the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshiped.
We believe worship of God should be fruitful; therefore, we look to His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshiping Him.
We believe legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Therefore, sexual activities such as, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, pedophilia and bestiality are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible. Further, lascivious behavior, the creation and/or distribution and/or viewing of pornography, and effort to alter one’s gender, are incompatible with the Bible’s teaching. We believe marriage has been ordained by God. Therefore, we recognize marriage as exclusively the legal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment.
