My name is Andrew Ferguson. Teen ChallengeIn the summer of 2003, I was an addict strung out on Methamphetamine.  I was on felony probation and in desperate need of a miracle.  It was soon after entering the doors of Teen Challenge I had an encounter in a small, white chapel on a ranch in Shafter, California, with the Creator of the universe.  It was from that day, I knew I had been called to serve in ministry of Teen Challenge.  I completed my one year discipleship and served for an additional 4 months as an intern.  Later, I graduated from Teen Challenge Ministry Institute in Los Angeles.

At that point in my life, God opened the doors to go to Teen Challenge and I became a part of the ministry team in Riverside, California.  For the last 3 years I have served at Riverside Teen Challenge as a teacher/advisor where I disciple addicts with life-controlling problems.

God has truly restored to me the years that the locust has eaten.  He has given me a beautiful wife, Jacquie and together we have been blessed with a daughter named Karis.

It is heart-breaking to see so many men choose a life of addiction to cover scars and the wounds caused by society – many who have endured lifetime emotional, physical and sexual abuse.  It is in these deep hurts many are left vulnerable to Satan’s attacks and lies.

God’s love is greater than these hurts and my desire is to connect with these men with real solutions to real problems.  God has given me a vision to reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to restore them through the power of the Holy Spirit, to equip them with the Word of God, and finally, to send them out to minister to a hurting and dying world.

I have had the privilege to be a part of the Great Commission to go into this world and preach the Good news.  I believe one of my greatest calling is to reach our communities as summoned by our Lord to be a witness to Him in “in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  My Judea is our communities and to the many who are struggling bound in their own prisons.
